Empowering Women & Youth Entrepreneurs in Southern Algeria
About DjazairUP
DjazairUP is a support program designed for women and youth with project ideas or startups in the process of being launched. It is implemented by the Algerian Startup Initiative (ASI) with financial support from the Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI).
DjazairUP aims to enhance the entrepreneurial skills of women and youth in southern Algeria and to support incubated entrepreneurs by facilitating their access to funding and helping them formally establish their businesses in the province of Ouargla.
In its new edition, DjazairUP seeks to promote inclusive economic growth in the province of Ouargla. By providing entrepreneurial resources to women and youth to encourage them to create their own startups, this 24-month project will foster employment opportunities in the region and increase access to the labor market.

The 5-Step Journey
From idea to launch: Your path to entrepreneurial success
Training Bootcamp
20 entrepreneurs will be selected to take part in a training program designed to help them turn their project ideas into solid business plans.
Business Plan Challenge
At the end of the bootcamp, the trained entrepreneurs will present their projects before a jury, which will determine whether or not they can join the incubator.
Incubation Program
Following the Business Plan Challenge, at least 5 projects will join the incubator and receive tailored support and personalized assistance for a period of 6 months.
Match Up with Investors
At the end of the incubation program, the incubated projects will be presented to business angels and financial institutions, giving them the opportunity to raise funds.
Launch of Startups
Startups that receive investment proposals will be supported throughout the process of becoming officially and legally established.

Eligibility Criteria
All idea holders or project owners based in southern Algeria are eligible if they meet all of the following criteria:
Age
- From 18 years old for women (no upper age limit)
- Between 18 and 35 years old for men
Idea / Project
- The idea or project must have an economic purpose
Other Criteria
- Complementarity and commitment of the founders
- Vision and entrepreneurial mindset
- All sectors of activity are accepted
